Progressive Balloons & Gifts - Walgreens B2B Web Application

Store Managers at over 6,300 Walgreens Drugstores across the United States and Puerto Rico order directly from Progressive Balloons & Gifts in St. Peters, Missouri using a custom web application developed and maintained by Giant Software. Committed to an agressive store expansion program with a goal of 7,000 stores by 2010, Walgreens opens a new store on average every other day (or less). To keep up with this growth and provide managers of new stores with immediate access to the website, the application automatically synchronizes its database every hour with the latest store data from Walgreens. Key technologies: Microsoft ASP.Net and Microsoft SQL Server.

New Projects under Development

In partnership with stakeholders in the medical and insurance industries, Giant Software is currently developing two new hosted applications as part of a family of insurance-based solutions for medical practices in the United States, with delivery dates scheduled for the second half of 2008. The early versions of these applications will be browser-based hosted applications, with Windows Smart Client versions scheduled for later release. Due to non-disclosure agreements we cannot currently discuss the specific features of these applications. Key Technologies: ASP.Net 3.5, SQL Server 2005, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Smart Client.
